About…
About me…
I am a qualified counsellor and member of the BACP. I like to think I offer a confidential and compassionate space for people who may be struggling with life challenges, emotional difficulties, or times of change. I am a mum to two amazing daughters and wife to my very patient husband. I was a secondary school teacher for nearly 20 years and have spent the last few years working in the primary school setting.
I am expanding my specialism into complex trauma work alongside my work supporting families and parents navigating neurodivergence and mental health.
Why I do this work
My path to becoming a therapist was shaped by my own life experiences. I know first-hand what it takes for a family to navigate neurodivergence and mental health challenges. Because of this, I have naturally found myself supporting parents through the unique ripples these challenges can create within a home.
In my practice, I offer a compassionate, grounded space where you don’t have to explain the exhaustion of advocacy or the weight of chronic stress. Together, we will work to support your mental well-being and help your family’s nervous system find a sense of safety and balance.
About Therapy…
My role isn't to tell you what to do or assume I know what's best. Instead, I offer a safe, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where we can explore what's happening in your life together. We can regularly review how our work is progressing, talk about what's helping (or what isn't), and adapt our sessions to suit your changing needs.
You may be feeling…
“I don’t feel like myself anymore.”
“I’m constantly worrying and can’t switch off.”
“I feel overwhelmed and don’t know where to start.”
“I keep repeating patterns I don’t understand.”
“I want to make changes but feel stuck.”
Counselling can help you explore these experiences and develop a deeper understanding of yourself.
My approach is based on the belief that you are the expert on your own life. My role is to listen, support, and help you explore what is happening for you in a way that feels safe and meaningful.
I work with clients experiencing anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, loss, relationship difficulties, and feeling stuck or overwhelmed.
I aim to create a space where you can feel accepted, valued, and able to talk honestly without fear of judgement.
Whether you're facing anxiety, relationship challenges, grief, low confidence, or simply feeling that life has become difficult to navigate, I will work alongside you at your own pace, supporting you to find a way forward that feels meaningful and authentic.
